ON STAGE IN SOUTHWOLD WEEKEND ~ DixieMix

Led by singer and trumpeter Simon Nelson, DixieMix, with their brand of foot tapping, good time jazz, laced with energy and humour, are a highly entertaining band.

During their 18 year existence, the band have regularly played on the bill at London Jazz Festival, Pershore Jazz festival, in jazz clubs across England and have shared the stage with many of the UK’s finest jazz musicians. In 2014 they toured the UK supporting Rod Stewart on his nationwide stadium tour playing to 20,000 people each night. On their day off, they returned to Norfolk to play to 50 people on a boat on the Norfolk Broads, then drove to Taunton Cricket ground for another sell out show with Rod.
