Theatre on the virtual Coast

It's not too late to sign up for the hugely enjoyable Theatre on the Coast on-line season. The six shows are available to view as many times as you like until Sept 30th

The season features two new premieres including All 4 One by Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie. The story centres around a grandmother who summons her son and grandsons for a crisis meeting and, since she is Queen of England, the stakes could not be higher. Our second new commission, Attagirls! by Stewart Ross, celebrates the contribution made by women pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II.

In Beyond INK, the programme presents new productions of work first seen at the country’s biggest new short play festival. Astrid King has created The Peg Lynch Players, a tribute to her mother Peg Lynch – TV and Radio pioneer in 1950s America.

Robert Powell performs his one man show Charles Dickens, a Celebration. He will also join the last night cabaret with Sarah Redmond for Denis King’s Optimistic People, an evening of songs, stories and extracts from a life in music, the theatre and film.

The season has been recorded online so you can enjoy it in the comfort of your home. There is a video tutorial available to enable people to stream the season on their laptop, computer, tablet or TV.
Tickets cost £44 and provide access to all performances for unlimited viewings up to Sept 30th. Digital programmes are also available.
